IF - Foggy

The foggy smog of air trash overcame the butterfly.  :(

Cock-Tail Lounge

There is a wonderful theme this week at Monday Artday... "Cocktail Lounge."  :)   I had a ton of fun with this so I decided to post it here as well.  Phew!  That's three illustrations in three days... COMPLETED.  Rare for me, I guess I am motivated.  Cheers!

IF - SOUR

I just finished this up... inspired by yummy summer treats.  Wow, this is really not my typical subject matter :D

Ok, I'm Obsessed

...with sign faces, old pictures, small gestures and substrates with history.  Here are a few of the pieces I have worked on from April until now.  Most of them combine furniture items from ReSource 2000 and painting, drawing and digital transfer process.  I am psyched to finally feel like I am developing a series of work.  Enjoy!

Recent Work - Part 2

So here is part 2 of my newest work.  It's coming along, but I am not sure about ways in which I might display these?  Any ideas, please comment.  I thought about building a wooden frame for them since they are canvas-board material, but I hate canvas-board so much I wouldn't want it to be visible from the surface.   It would be ideal to have the edges of them hidden, but still keep them together, not in separate frames.

Related to process, after I applied acrylic gesso and tons of gloss gel medium, I experimented with the Lazertran images over the collage pieces.  The part that will make this piece or break it is really the final display that I chose.

Been a while... here's some new shiz

I've been experimenting with collage, acrylic, gel medium and digital images via lazertran, (which is the most versatile stuff I have ever used...)  Right... so I have four panels, that look similar to this and I am overlaying digital work based on several photographs and paintings in Photoshop.  I am unsure about how I might display this work or how this might end up looking.  I like the idea of building layers, then subtracting, re-  building, etc.  I'll keep progress posted.
